Frost Unmanned develops unmanned systems for defence customers. We are looking for a Platform Engineer to take responsibility for integration and reliability of our unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).The role You own how the UAV platform works as a whole: communication, sensor and electrical systems working together as one complete aircraft. The work is hands-on, split between the workshop, the lab and the field.You will:Design, install and integrate communication, sensor and electrical systems on the aircraftConfigure radio links, sensors, networks and flight control systemsDevelop embedded softwarePlan and carry out cabling and electrical installationTroubleshoot hardware and system-level faultsTest and validate integrated systems, including flight trialsWhat we are looking forMSc or BSc in electrical engineering or a related fieldExperience with system integration of electronics, communications or sensors, ideally on UAVsEmbedded software development skillsComfortable working hands-on with hardware in the fieldFluent in English, spoken and writtenAble to pass security vetting, as the role involves defence projectsWhat we offer Permanent full-time position in a small team building UAVs for real operational use.
